Washington, D.C., September 2017 – The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Grants Program Directorate (GPD) selected Trillion Technology Solutions, Inc. as prime contractor for the Comprehensive Communications Capabilities and Communications Sharing Environment contract.  This contract develops robust data analytics, data visualization capabilities, and communications strategies targeted towards specific stakeholders.

FEMA’s Grant Programs Directorate (GPD) manages multi-billion-dollar state and local grant programs.  In doing so, it must analyze raw data and transform the data into visual graphics to support and address new administration priorities.  This will also enable FEMA to monitor performance, lower operational risk, and proactively improve the management of the more than $2 billion annual grants portfolio.  Additionally, GPD seeks to enhance internal and external communications to prepare stakeholders for organizational and system changes and to more effectively share GPD’s mission results across multiple communications channels to a diverse set of audiences—from oversight organizations to agency leadership, program offices, grantees, and external stakeholders at the national, regional, State and local levels.

GPD currently maintains two separate and disparate systems to manage awards, Assistance to Firefighters Grants (AFG) System and Non-Disaster Grants (ND Grants) System.  Work is underway to transition AFG awards to the ND Grants system which will require effective communication to stakeholders on the changes.  Analytical, visualization, and communications capabilities will enable a smooth transition to the ND Grants, better communicate program activities inside and outside of FEMA, and more clearly demonstrate the full impact of FEMA grants programs toward achieving the National Preparedness Goal.
